We have been stringing beads since the beginnings of our business in the early 70'S. I dare to say, bead stringing was the main stay of our business at that point in time. Way back when puka and hishi were all the rage.

We have come along way since those days and so has the popularity of beads.
With sonic mill technology, the once expensive, tediously hand drilled gem stone beads, are now quite affordable.

Glass beads have not, just been popular, but also played important roles in history, trade, religion, culture and art, for centuries. It now seems that the glass bead makers, once closely guarded secrets, are now coming to light. Bringing about wonderful new hand made glass beads from all over.

Many native cultures used all sorts of things to fashion beads and talisman for their tribal rights, religions and festivals. They used stone, wood, bone, shell, Ostrich egg as well as teeth, tusks and claws to fashion interesting and unique beads.

We use mostly gem stone beads mixed with fine glass beads and precious metals in our designs. We also use the new stronger synthetic silks to string our beads. They are strong yet still supple like silk. We don't always hand knot in between each bead. Because some designs don't work well that way. But we do try to incorporate some knotting in most designs for security.
